Did you know that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that 27% of cars and 32% of vans, pickups and sport-utility vehicles has at least one underinflated tire. Low tire pressure creates stress and heat that can lead to tire failure, including blowouts and tread separation. Underinflated tires also wear out more quickly and reduce fuel efficiency. NHTSA recommends that tire pressure be checked once a month and before every long trip.
